RELATE Mentors
What is a Mentor?
RELATE Ministries is a volunteer-led ministry, and as such, our leaders are volunteers. Mentors make a two-year commitment to pray for the ministry, attend events, and support the ministry. In addition, Mentors act as leaders for the events and commit to host/lead at least 1 event per year.
Mentor Expectations
- Have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and are making an effort to follow Him in their personal lives.
- Desire to grow spiritually and mature in their relationship with Jesus, and evidence of that growth is evident on a year-to-year basis.
- Exhibit a Christ-like attitude and demeanor as they serve at events.
- Portray a strong moral character and ethical practices in all facets of life - home, work, and ministry.
- Are aware of their surroundings and use respectful language that honors others.
- Provide an extra measure of respect to women and children.
- Exercise good judgment in their use of alcohol and tobacco products, and do not allow them to define them.
- Demonstrate humility in both success and defeat.
- Commit to helping others in need during events and in your daily life.
