Mike Kosut ~ Founder & President
Mike Kosut, a husband, father, and Christ-follower saw the need for spiritual growth in men and envisioned Relate Ministries. He lives in Montgomery, Texas with his wife, Lindsey, and three children, Case, Colton, and Auburn.
Mike submitted his life to Christ in 2015 and has been on fire for Him ever since. Mike spent time on staff at Fellowship of Montgomery until 2021. Mike knew God had prepared him to do great things to advance the kingdom of God. He is now spirit-led and Christ-filled with God's guidance in growing Relate Ministries. He is called to reach the disconnected and connect them to those leading a Christ-filled life through small events and activities.
Ron Person ~ Vice President
Ron Person is a dedicated husband who met his wife, Nancy, while attending Texas A&M University, and they were married in 1990 while in college. He is the proud father of three beautiful daughters and became “Papa” to his granddaughter in April of 2025. Ron is a business professional who continues to grow in his walk with Christ. As Vice President of the Board of Directors for Relate Ministries, he strives to bring faith-centered leadership and a commitment to connecting men to Christ through meaningful, relationship-driven events. He serves with a heart to support the mission of Relate Ministries and to help build a strong, Christ-centered community.
Phil Bero ~ Treasurer
Phill Bero was changed forever by these four words: “All Scripture is God-Breathed…” And the rest of 2 Timothy 3:16-17 instantly became the path God called him to as a man, disciple of Jesus, husband, father, friend, and mentor. He could not “undo” what God did inside of him.
Phil responded to God’s call to Lordship, leaving the casual claim of just “believing” behind. He was baptized in May of 2020. He loves to study God’s Word, grow closer with his Papa God,
and wants to help other men to do the same. He is the man who found the treasure hidden in the field as described in Matthew 13:44.
Phil’s career included the professional development of many people on his teams over the years. He has always loved pouring out into others and now, God has directed this passion to be used for his Kingdom through Relate Ministries. Phil’s heart is to come alongside other men on their faith journey by encouraging them, directing them to God's Word, and discipling them towards spiritual growth.
Nancy Person ~ Secretary
Nancy is a Christ-follower, wife, mother, grandmother, and minister to children and families. Nancy has been married to her college sweetheart, Ron, since 1990. They have 3 wonderful daughters, two godly sons-in-law, and one beautiful granddaughter. Nancy graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991. After graduation, she had varied careers, including selling overhead cranes, desktop IT support, network administration, preschool teacher, elementary instructional aide, and ministry staff at Fellowship of Montgomery. During her years at FM, she experienced God’s call into full-time ministry as a children’s minister, a position she never in a million years thought she would ever willingly accept. Having been on staff for years, she knew what the position required and had no desire to step into that realm. God had a different idea. He equipped her for the calling He placed on her. During that time, she experienced the deep joy of knowing she was walking in God’s plan for her. In God’s timing, He moved her from that position and placed her to assist Mike Kosut in beginning Relate Ministries to impact families by growing men into spiritual leaders of their homes. She received her Master’s in Children’s Ministry from Dallas Baptist University in 2023. She is currently assisting in planting a new church in Willis, Texas by leading children and families while she attends classes at Truett Seminary.
Chip Scholl
Chip graduated from Montgomery High School in 1994 then continued to a BBA degree from Sam Houston State University. During and following school he operated a landscape company while achieving an aviation education. He has since gone on to become an airline pilot which allows a flexible schedule for doing the many outdoor and ministry activities he enjoys. God has blessed him with an amazing Christian wife since 2002 to experience, share and grow in life with.
Chip has been a follower of Christ since his acceptance of salvation at a youth camp when he was 12 years old. Since then he has ridden the highs and lows not uncommon to the majority of men as he was figuring out how to grow in his Christian walk. Chip has been friends with our founder Mike Kosut through college, his salvation and establishment of Relate Ministries.
“Through this ministry I have found a way to share my love of outdoor activities to connect with men and grow together. I believe that many men feel there is a version of ourselves we bring to church that is shiny and happy, and then there is a version we use to interact with the world. My intent is to help us understand that these should be the same person, it’s just a matter of living by Jesus’ example to put God first in all things. This becomes more understandable and relatable through experiencing the magnificence in His creation around us.”
Mike Mitchell
I’m a devoted dad of two and a proud stepdad, a man of faith who values family, commitment, and hard work. I’ve been married for six years, and I believe in showing up every day for the people I love and leading by example. I graduated from Montgomery High School in 1993 and have spent over 30 years in construction. For the past 22 years, I’ve owned and operated my own construction business—work I take a lot of pride in.
When I’m not on the job, I love being outdoors and appreciating the simple things in life and riding dirt bikes. I’m someone who enjoys helping others and being there for friends whenever they need a hand. Building things is what I do, but building strong relationships and community is what really matters to me.
Staff
Bethany Williams ~ Administrative Director
Bethany is a Christ-follower, wife, and mother. God moved in Bethany when she was young to follow Him and she has worked to glorify Him since.
Bethany has been married to her best friend, Stephen, since 2020 and they have a beautiful young daughter together. Bethany graduated from West Texas A&M in 2021 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been led to work in many different careers since then as a Children's Minister, a preschool teacher, customer service and dispatcher.
God thankfully has brought Bethany to Relate Ministries to help impact families and to support fishers of men.
